Matic Dubbed A-10 Co-Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Multiple top performances at the Rutgers Invite last weekend led to redshirt senior Djurdje Matic to be selected as the A-10 Co-Performer of the week, the league announced on Tuesday. Matic, who provides a veteran presence on the men's team, finished the weekend with seven top-three finishes - split between four relays and three individual events.
Matic's impressive weekend was highlighted by individual race wins in both the 100-yard backstroke (49.40) and the 100-yard butterfly (47.68). The Belgrade, Serbia native also showcased his sprint speed, finishing in second place in the 50-yard freestyle (20.65).
In the relays, Matic and the Revolutionaries made the podium four times, including second place in both the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:23.23) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:03.45), second place in the 200-yard medley relay (1:30.74) and third place in the 400-yard medley relay (3:20.80).
Matic and the rest of the Buff and Blue return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 21 when they head to Annapolis, Md. to compete against Navy.
