Mitchell Takes Home A-10 Rookie of the Week Honors

First-year finishes first among all A-10 rookies at the Indiana Coaching Tree Invitational
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - First-year Sarah Mitchell of the GW women's cross country team was named the A-10's rookie performer of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Mitchell, competing in just her second-ever collegiate meet, finished first among all A-10 rookies at the Indiana Coaching Tree Invitational last Friday. The Birmingham, UK native clocked in with a time of 22:02.3, which was third best among GW's female runners.
Mitchell is the first individual honoree for the cross country team this season. Both the women's and men's programs will return to action on Friday, Sept. 30 when they compete in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
