Alitz, Rowland Earn All-Academic Accolade

Pair honored for strong classroom performance during 2021-22 school year
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -Â GW women's rowers Emma Alitz and Elizabeth Rowland were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team, it was announced on Wednesday.
Alitz joined the program as a graduate student last year and registered a 3.73 GPA in Physical Activity in Public Health. She was previously named a CRCA Scholar-Athlete and was a First Team All-Conference performer for the Buff & Blue. She was a member of V8 boat that earned a silver medal at this year's A-10 Championship.
Rowland, a rising senior, holds a 3.88 GPA in International Affairs and also was a CRCA Scholar-Athlete last season. On the water, she was named Second Team All-Conference after aiding the V8 to a silver medal at the A-10 Championship.
