Women’s Tennis Completes Four-Match Homestand with Pair of A-10 Opponents

GW to host VCU on Friday, Davidson on Saturday
WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis is set for its second weekend of A-10 play, welcoming VCU to the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center on Friday at 11 a.m. before hosting Davidson on Saturday at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
GW opened its conference slate with a 4-1 win over Richmond last Saturday. The Buff & Blue clinched the doubles point and claimed the 4-1 victory after winning its top three singles matches. Stella Wiesemann won her singles match and now leads the team with eight victories this season.

VCU is 13-4 on the season and is led by Nina Sorkin and Paola Diaz Delgado, with 14 and 13 singles wins, respectively. Diaz Delgado and doubles partner Laura Astudillo and Sorkin and Yelizaveta Karlova lead the team with nine doubles victories apiece.

The Wildcats (9-6) will look to snap a two-match losing skid after dropping back-to-back matches to East Carolina and James Madison. Kavya Patel leads Davidson with 12 singles wins.
