
Women’s Tennis Heads to College Park

Sunday’s match at Maryland scheduled for noon
WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis is set for its first road test of the spring season, visiting Maryland on Sunday for a noon match vs. the Terrapins.
LAST TIME OUT: The Buff & Blue began their championship quest last weekend, splitting a pair of home matches against Delaware and Morgan State. After falling to the Blue Hens on Friday, GW dropped just one singles match on Saturday en route to a 6-1 victory over the Bears.
Sarah Bodewes and Katarina Marinkovikj went undefeated in singles play across the two matches, and GW's five singles wins on Saturday were straight-set victories.
MATCHING UP WITH MARYLAND: The Terrapins opened up their season with a pair of 7-0 victories over Georgetown and Coppin State. Maryland suffered its lone loss of the season in a 4-3 setback at VCU on Jan. 29.
