Both teams honored for eighth straight semester
RICHMOND, Va. - George Washington swimming and diving has been recognized for its continued academic excellence, earning College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors for the fall semester.
The GW women were honored after posting a 3.42 cumulative GPA for the semester, while the men totaled a combined mark of 3.17 to secure the award. It's the eighth consecutive semester, and 20th time in the past 22 semesters, that both teams were lauded by the CSCAA for achieving a combined GPA of 3.0 or better.
Brendan Conley, Andrea Moussier and Carly Perri set the pace for the Buff and Blue in earning perfect 4.0 GPAs in the fall. In total, 21 members of the program (16 women and five men) posted a 3.5 GPA or better for the semester, and 38 will be honored on the GW Athletics Academic Dean's List (3.00+).
