Women’s Tennis Wins Fifth Straight Match

GW earns weekend sweep of opponents
WASHINGTON – The GW women's tennis team picked up its fifth straight victory on Sunday, edging St. Joseph's, 5-2, on Senior Day.
Alexis Nelson was recognized before today's match. Nelson, a grad transfer from Cal, has spent one season with the Buff and Blue.
GW earned the doubles point after clinching victories in all three of its pairings. In singles play, Alexis Nelson, Alexandra Vesikallio, Sarah Bodewes and Charlotte Bell all secured straight-set victories for the Buff and Blue. Thompson's win marks the fourth consecutive singles match that she has defeated her opponent in two sets.
