Men's Soccer to Face Dayton at A-10 Championship

Colonials earn spot in four-team field & face host Flyers
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - GW men's soccer has earned the No. 4 seed for next week's Atlantic 10 Championship and a semifinal matchup vs. host Dayton, the conference announced late Saturday.
The Buff and Blue will face the top-seeded Flyers on Thursday in a noon kickoff at Baujan Field with the winner advancing to Saturday's final vs. the winner between No. 2 Saint Louis and No. 3 Fordham.
GW (4-2-2, 3-1-2 A-10) clinched a spot in the four-team A-10 Championship field with its 4-1 win at Davidson earlier Saturday to finish atop the conference's Central Pod. The Colonials have earned the right to compete for their third conference tournament title in program history (2002, 2004) while aiming to secure an automatic NCAA berth.
Oscar Haynes Brown scored twice in Saturday's victory, giving him five scores in his six appearances this season, while two-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week Justin Grady has been excellent in net, ceding just five goals through eight games.
Dayton (4-3-1, 4-1-1 A-10) finished atop the A-10 West Pod thanks to three straight wins to close the regular season by a combined score of 12-1.
