Kendall Whitman Named EAGL Rookie of the Week

Whitman posted a 9.800 or better in five events in GW’s pair of meets
WASHINGTON - GW gymnastics first-year Kendall Whitman has been named EAGL Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced today.
Whitman earned the honor back in week five after her 9.950 floor performance that equaled a program record.
Whitman was a key contributor in GW's pair of meets over the weekend, earning a 9.800 or better in five of the six events in which she competed.
On Sunday, Whitman set a new career-high on beam, posting a 9.825. In Friday's meet, Whitman tied her then career-high 9.800 on beam.
Whitman earned third overall in Friday's tri-meet for her 9.825 on vault. In her Smith Center debut, Whitman earned GW's second-best score on vault, posting a 9.850.
Whitman took to floor twice this weekend, earning a 9.800 and a 9.600, respectively.
The Pottstown, PA native is the third gymnast in the EAGL conference to earn a pair of rookie honors so far this season.
GW will finish out its regular season this week with two meets at Towson. Meet one is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. with Temple. Meet two is on Sunday at 4 p.m. with Temple and New Hampshire.
