Women’s Soccer Set for Pair of Home Contests

GW will host VCU on Thursday, Richmond on Sunday
WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's soccer team will look to clinch two conference victories when it hosts VCU on Thursday and Richmond on Sunday. Both kickoffs are set for 3 p.m.
CAN'T STOP SILBERMAN
Natalie Silberman scored her second game-winning goal of the season in a 1-0 overtime victory at Davidson on Sunday. Silberman scored in the second minute of overtime to lift GW over the Wildcats, netting her fifth goal of the season. With the goal, the senior midfielder extended her scoring-streak to five-consecutive games.
Silberman has already surpassed her career-high four-goal season in 2018. The Miami, Fla. native has recorded six shots on goal, scoring on five of them to put together an impressive .750 shot on goal percentage.
READY FOR THE RAMS
On Tuesday, VCU topped Davidson 2-0 behind a pair of goals from Emma Kershner. Samantha Jerabek leads the Rams with six goals and Kershner sits in second with three goals. VCU is 4-3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. VCU will host GW on April 1 at 7 p.m.
SCOUTING THE SPIDERS
Richmond is coming off a 1-1 draw against George Mason. The Spiders are 0-2-1 overall after three conference matchups. Richmond and GW met on March 7 with the Buff and Blue earning the double-overtime victory, 1-0.
