Sophomore goalkeeper honored for second time this season
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Justin Grady of GW men's soccer has been named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The sophomore goalkeeper was honored Monday after anchoring a pair of strong defensive efforts for the Buff and Blue last week to open conference play.
Last Wednesday, Grady recorded a clean sheet, making three saves in a scoreless stalemate at George Mason. On Saturday, he equaled his season high with four stops over 110 minutes in a 1-1 draw vs. Davidson.
For the season, Grady has allowed just two goals across four contests, recording 14 stops and a .875 save percentage. The Wyncote, Pa., native was previously honored by the conference after last month's season-opening shutout vs. Mount St. Mary's.
