Gymnastics Concludes Season at EAGL Championship

GW earned fourth overall with a season-best 195.800
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The George Washington gymnastics team wrapped up its 2021 season by finishing fourth at EAGL Championships on Saturday. GW posted a season-best 195.800 behind team scores of 48.850 on vault, 48.875 on bars, 48.850 on beam and a season-high 49.225 on floor. GW has earned scores above the 195.000 mark in each of its last three meets.
The Temple Owls won the conference title with a score of 196.500. Towson finished second with a 195.875, NC State placed third with a 196.050, UNC earned fifth with a 195.275, Pittsburgh placed sixth with a 194.350 and LIU finished seventh with a 192.725.
Among the seven competing teams, Deja Chambliss placed in a three-way tie for second overall with a 9.850 on vault. Kendall Whitman also placed in a three-way tie for first overall on floor with her 9.900 performance.
ROTATION ONE
The Temple Owls won the conference title with a score of 196.500. Towson finished second with a 195.875, NC State placed third with a 196.050, UNC earned fifth with a 195.275, Pittsburgh placed sixth with a 194.350 and LIU finished seventh with a 192.725.
Among the seven competing teams, Deja Chambliss placed in a three-way tie for second overall with a 9.850 on vault. Kendall Whitman also placed in a three-way tie for first overall on floor with her 9.900 performance.
ROTATION ONE
GW started the afternoon on vault. Anna Warhol earned second for GW with a 9.800. Kendall Whitman registered a 9.775, Hannah Munnelly earned a 9.725, Cydney Crasa posted a 9.700 and Katherine Shek rounded out the vault lineup with a 9.675.
ROTATION TWO
The Buff and Blue went to bars for rotation two. Anneliese Silverman earned a career-high 9.825, while Munnelly recorded a season-high 9.800. Olivia Raymond and Warhol posted matching 9.775s and Chambliss earned a 9.700. Olivia Zona capped GW's day on bars earning a 9.500.
ROTATION THREE
GW moved to beam for rotation three. Shek and Silverman earned identical 9.825s. Silverman's score earned her a career-high on the event. Hannah Cohen added a 9.800 while Whitman recorded a 9.775. Zona contributed a 9.625 and Chambliss earned a 9.200.
ROTATION FOUR
GW ended the championship afternoon on floor, posting its best score of the day and a season-high on the event. Crasa and Warhol added in matching 9.850s. Warhol's 9.850 marked a new career-high for her on the event. Zona received a 9.825, Chambliss earned a 9.800 and Rachel Kaplan finished the floor lineup with a 9.725.
ROTATION TWO
