Warhol earns the honor for the second-consecutive year

WASHINGTON - George Washington gymnastics senior Anna Warhol has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league has announced.

The honor marks the first time since joining the EAGL conference that the same gymnast has earned any major end-of-season EAGL award in consecutive years. Cami Douin-Allaire earned EAGL Gymnast of the Year in 2018 and 2016. The award also marks the eighth season in a row that a GW gymnast has been awarded a top end-of-season EAGL award.

During her senior season, Warhol competed consistently for GW on vault, bars and floor. In GW's season opener at Towson, Warhol tied her career-high 9.825 on vault. Warhol scored a 9.725 or higher on all four of her floor performances, with a season-high of 9.775.

Academically, Warhol maintained a cumulative grade point average of a 3.903 as a Biomedical Engineering major and recently picked up her fourth honor on the EAGL All-Scholastic Team.
