Women’s Soccer Set for Two Matchups

GW will travel to Towson on Thursday and host George Mason on Sunday
WASHINGTON - The GW women's soccer team will travel to Towson, Md. on Thursday for a 6 p.m. contest against the Towson Tigers.
GW will return home on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match against George Mason.

Natalie Silberman was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week after her game-winning goal in a 104-minute battle at Richmond. With the win, GW improved to 2-1-0 on the season.
GW outshot Richmond in the second overtime 3-0 with the winning goal giving the Buff and Blue the narrow 15-14 edge on total shots.
The last time GW played at home, the team blanked Delaware State, 7-0, for its largest win over any opponent since 2006.
A LOOK AT THE TIGERS
Towson will host GW in its first game under the lights at the newly renovated Tiger Field. Towson has drawn in its first two contests of the season with a 1-1 final score at Saint Joseph's and a 0-0 final at UMBC. Alexandra Rush has scored the Tigers' only goal this season. Keeper Riley Melendez sits at a 92.9% save rate with a 0.41 goals allowed average.

George Mason will look to secure its first win of the season on Sunday after losses to Georgetown, Virginia, Delaware and Davidson. The Patriots' lone goal of the season came from Sara Chontosh in the 83rd minute of its most recent contest at Davidson. George Mason was picked No. 8 in the A-10 preseason poll.
