Thirteen Gymnasts Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

Colonials honored for academic excellence
WASHINGTON – Thirteen George Washington gymnasts have been named 2019-20 Scholastic All-Americans by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), the organization announced on Tuesday.
Individuals must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to earn Scholastic All-America honors.
Amongst GW's 13 honorees were six repeat recipients. The rising senior trio of Rachel Kaplan (Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences), Katya Karpova (Biomedical Engineering) and Anna Warhol (Biomedical Engineering) was honored for the third consecutive year. Fellow rising senior Hannah Cohen (Exercise Science), along with rising juniors Simone Banen (Mechanical Engineering) and Olivia Zona (Exercise Science), received recognition for the second time in their careers.
They were joined by first-time honorees Cydney Crasa (Organizational Sciences), Nora Houseman (Chemistry), Kenzington Martin (History), Hannah Munnelly (Communication/Graphic Design), Olivia Raymond (International Affairs), Katherine Shek (Exercise Science) and Chloe Vitoff (International Business).
As a team, the Colonials ranked 40th nationally with a team cumulative GPA of 3.5794, up eight spots from last year.
