A Message from GW Women's Soccer Head Coach Michelle Demko

"GW Women's Soccer friends, family and alumnae,
With the decision to cancel all remaining sporting events for the duration of the academic year, we find ourselves in unfamiliar territory. While we feel disappointment about no longer competing, our priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our student-athletes and greater GW community. As a program we stand behind the decisions of our university and athletic department during this time of uncertainty. In the face of adversity, it's important to have perspective and understand the bigger picture. Our greatest work lies in the coming days, weeks and months in how we implement our role in society by making the right decisions regarding social distancing and how we treat/support one another for the greater good. Thank you to everyone who has supported our program this year. We achieved an enormous amount of success and we were happy to share that with all of you. We look forward to being back on the field together to continue to Raise High as we proudly wear the Buff & Blue."
