A Message from GW Men's Soccer Head Coach Craig Jones

"These have been strange and unique times for everyone. It seems that each day we are receiving numerous communications regarding COVID-19 from many resources that can add further worries to our daily lives. My hope is that you are reading only the communications that are important for your safety and from your communities, such as GW, whose goals are to ensure you are safe.
As we continue to move forward we can choose to limit the disruption these times have brought to our lives and still follow the safety procedures in place. For many, it gives us a chance to spend more time with children, family and sit down at the table to eat meals. As we are stuck indoors at home, now is the chance to start that book you never got around to reading, rent that movie, start a project you've been meaning to do, learn a new language or pick up a musical instrument. We often ask our student-athletes, 'What do you do when no one is watching to improve?' This is a chance for all of us, and our student-athletes in particular, to answer this question by showing the determination, commitment and flexibility to find a way to keep improving, learning and staying POSITIVE.
As we face each day with new challenges ahead, I know that we have the resilience to stay together and come back stronger. We will continue to do all that we can to help those that are vulnerable and keep our GW soccer family, alumni, friends and members of our communities safe. We will get the chance to kick another ball for GW. Until that moment comes, you can be sure that we will find ways to train for this moment, making us stronger and better prepared. BE SAFE!
