Women’s Tennis Set to Open Home Slate

Colonials to host Morgan State and Coppin State for back-to-back matches on Tuesday
SERVING FIRST: The George Washington women's tennis team is set to kick off its home slate at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (SETLC) on Tuesday with back-to-back matches. The Colonials will first host Morgan State at 9 a.m. before going head-to-head with Coppin State at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: The Buff and Blue opened dual match play on Saturday morning, falling to William & Mary, 4-0.
ABOUT MORGAN STATE: The Bears travel to D.C. sitting even at 1-1. Morgan State opened dual match play with a 4-0 sweep over Saint Francis (Pa.), before falling to Delaware, 5-2, on Sunday. The Colonials have topped the Bears in their last four meetings, including a 6-1 victory in 2018.
ABOUT COPPIN STATE: Coppin State opened 2020 with back-to-back losses to Maryland (4-0) and Southern Utah (7-0) on Saturday. The Colonials last faced the Eagles in 2009, winning, 7-0.
