Senior co-captain matches career-high on vault in season opener

Cydney Crasa earns Colonial of the Week honors after a stellar performance in GW's season opener at the Little Boston Invitational on Saturday evening. The senior co-captain kicked off her night with a team-high 9.800 on floor exercise, marking her sixth-straight score of 9.800 or above on the event dating back to last season.

Crasa continued her momentum on vault with a career-high matching 9.850. The Stony Brook, N.Y., native earned a spot on the podium at third along with teammate Deja Chambliss.

Crasa finished her night on beam, posting a 9.750 in her debut on the event.

The Colonials will be back in action on Sunday, Jan. 19 to open their home slate with the Lindsey Ferris Invitational. GW will host Cornell, Penn, and Kent State in quad-meet action starting at 1 p.m.
