Colonials Shine in Kenner League Opening Weekend

Three Colonials earned Player of the Game honors last weekend
WASHINGTON – Play commenced in the 2019 Nike Pro City Jabbo Kenner Summer League last weekend with seven GW men's basketball players suiting up alongside some of the area's most talented stars for a month of competition.
Three Colonials earned Player of the Game honors in the opening weekend at McDonough Gymnasium on the campus of Georgetown University. On Saturday, sophomore forward Mezie Offurum poured in 21 points for Higher Level to nab the honor. Then on Sunday, first-year guard Jameer Nelson Jr. (19 points) led Higher Level to a 69-68 victory over On Point, which was led by junior guard Maceo Jack (16 points).
