Levin Honored as Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American

First-year second basemen honored by national publication
WASHINGTON -Â GW baseball second baseman Noah Levin was announced as a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday, the Colonials' first such honor from the national magazine.
Levin, who was named the A-10 Co-Rookie of the Year, is GW's first Freshman All-American since 2004 and just the eighth in program history. He joins Nate Fassnacht as an All-America honoree this season, giving the Colonials multiple All-Americans in the same season for the first time since 2002.
GW's everyday second baseman hit .305 in 45 games during his first campaign with the Buff & Blue, leading all A-10 freshmen with 43 RBI and 0.96 RBI/game. He was second among A-10 second baseman regardless of class in runs driven in.Â
Levin reached his peak during conference play, topping the Colonials with a .354 average that ranked eighth in the circuit against league foes. He recorded at least one hit in 13 of 18 A-10 games he appeared in with six multi-hit efforts. Overall, Levin was third on the squad with 13 multi-RBI games and fifth with 15 multi-hit games.
