All boats finish first on the Colonials' home course
WASHINGTONÂ -- On a cloudy Friday morning on the Potomac River, the George Washington women's rowing team swept the visiting West Virginia Mountaineers in all four races.Â
The varsity eight took to the water first, posting a time of 6:35.65 to finish 10.20 seconds before West Virginia (6:45.85) to start the day on a high note.Â
The 2V8 continued the momentum for the Colonials, clocking in at 6:42.79 to top the Mountaineers by the largest split of the day, 17.60 seconds.Â
The 3V8 and V4 wrapped up GW's day on the water with top times of 7:01.95 and 7:31.89, respectively.Â
The Colonials will head to George Mason on Sunday, May 5 for the George's Cup.Â
