Dannheim Named A-10 Women's Track Performer of the Week

Junior set new school record in 3000m Steeplechase
WASHINGTON - The Atlantic 10 honored GW junior Suzanne Dannheim on Tuesday for her performance at the Bison Outdoor Classic, tabbing her the Women's Track Performer of the Week.
This is the first career weekly honor for Dannheim, and for the GW women's outdoor track program since its inception in 2014-15.
Dannheim smashed her previous school record by over 15 seconds in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:23.95 on Saturday at Bucknell, placing third overall in the event. Her time now ranks second among A-10 harriers this spring and 12th in the NCAA East Region, which should qualify her for the regional competition to be held in Jacksonville, Fla. next month.
Dannheim is hoping to become the first member of the women's track and field program to compete at the regional meet and just the third overall between the men's and women's programs after Matt Lange and Carter Day qualified last year.
