
Pair of School Records Fall for Outdoor Track & Field Saturday

Dannheim and Weber set new program marks by at least 15 seconds
GW outdoor track & field continued to raise expectations with a plethora of season-bests, personal records and two new school records to show for it, at a pair of competitions over the weekend.
LEWISBURG, Pa. - GW sent 10 harriers to the competitive Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell, and saw remarkable results with two school records highlighting the day. Overall, six of the seven student-athletes who weren't making their season debut at the specific event set PRs.

Suzanne Dannheim started the day off in style, blasting her previous school record by 15 seconds in the 3000m Steeplechase, finishing third overall in a time of 10:23.95. The time should qualify Dannheim for the NCAA East Regional in her hometown of Jacksonville, Fla.
Olivia Horgan finished seventh in the unseeded 5000m, setting a PR while Margaret Coogan placed 48th in the invite portion, but topped her previous personal best by 48 seconds. Brigid Prial erased four minutes over her previous top time in the 10k, finishing 17th in 36:11.55.
The men's side saw another school record set with Andrew Weber shaving 20 seconds off his previous record in the 10k, finishing second overall in 31:00.68. Connor James also performed well with a 23-second improvement on his PR in 31:28.24 to place eighth.

Ryan Doorhy and Paul Housey performed admirably in the 1500m with Doorhy clipping four seconds off his time, finishing in under four minutes for the first time in his career. Housey was right behind with a second taken off his previous top time at 4:03.29. Carter Day topped the GW quartet, finishing 19th in 3:54.92.
Three of the four women set new PRs in their events, including Brittany Wilkinson, who finished the 800m in 2:18.67. Halley Brown finished fourth overall in the 1500m with two PRs behind her in Mariah Moro (by three seconds) and Jenna Pressman (by six seconds).
