Track & Field Posts Successful Weekend at Two Events

Women's 4x1500 Relay sets new school record at Raleigh Relays
George Washington outdoor track & field split its squad this weekend, heading to Raleigh, N.C. and Annapolis, Md. Both groups competed remarkably well with a combined 12 personal records, a new school record and an event win.
RALEIGH, N.C. - Distance was the name of the competition at NC State with the women's 4x1500m relay providing the highlight.
The quartet of Halley Brown, Madison Yerke, Brittany Wilkinson and Margaret Coogan blasted the school record by over a minute, finishing in fifth overall in a time of 19:11.46. Wilkinson established a new PR in the 1500m while Suzanne Dannheim PR'd as well in the 5000m.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - GW's contingent at the U.S. Naval Academy performed admirably with 10 new personal records. Senior Brigid Prial cut over 30 seconds over her previous best at the 5000m and claimed victory in the event with a time of 17:34.89.
In addition to Prial, seniors Kelli Stetson and Rachael Hughen also posted new PRs. Sophomore Olivia Horgan and first-year Mariah Moro contributed PRs in the 1500m.
On the men's side, senior Connor James topped his two-year-old PR in the 5000m, finishing second in the event. Senior Aiden Kolenik and junior Evan Garry set new top marks in the 800m while sophomores Ryan Doorhy and Daniel Robinson did the same in the 1500m.
