Dannheim Opens Outdoor Season with Steeplechase Win

Three Colonials compete in the Maryland Invitational
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - GW outdoor track sent three competitors to the Maryland Invitational on Saturday afternoon, earning three top-10 finishes.
Junior Suzanne Dannheim provided the top highlight, winning the 3000m Steeplechase in a time of 11:03.07. Graduate student Carter Day secured a runner-up finish in the 1500m while senior Ed Delavergne finished seventh in the 400m.
The outdoor track season kicks off in earnest with the full team traveling to the Penn Challenge next Saturday in Philadelphia.
