Women’s Tennis to Face College of Charleston on Friday

Colonials wrap training trip with 1 p.m. match
SERVING FIRST: After spending the week in South Carolina for spring break, the George Washington women's tennis team will wrap up its training trip with a 1 p.m. match against the College of Charleston on Friday.
LAST TIME OUT: After falling to Liberty on Friday afternoon, the Colonials bounced back in dominant fashion on Sunday morning, downing the visiting Towson Tigers, 6-1, at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center. GW started its morning off strong in doubles play, with each pair coming out on top to secure the early point. The squad continues their momentum in singles action, winning matches 1-5 to secure their 6-1 victory.
MORE FROM MARINKOVIKJ: First-year Katarina Marinkovikj enters Friday's match on a four-match win streak. The two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week honoree paces the team with her eight victories in singles action and has notched six wins in doubles play along with partner Sara Grubac.
ABOUT COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON: The Cougars are 8-7 this season and are coming off a 5-2 victory against Samford on Wednesday. Charleston has also faced a trio of A-10 opponents so far this season, topping Davidson (5-2) and falling to both Richmond (4-3) and Massachusetts (4-1).
ROAD AHEAD: The Colonials will return home to host East Carolina on March 22 at noon at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center before hitting the road the next day to face Richmond on March 23 at 2 p.m.
