Indoor Track Sets Two New School Records at A-10 Championships

Women's 4x800, Weber's 5000m time establish new school bests
FAIRFAX, Va. - GW track and field completed its indoor season at the A-10 Championships on Saturday and Sunday, recording points in three races and breaking two school records in the process.
Senior Andy Weber was the first to set a new program-best, edging out the previous record in the men's 5000m by .15 seconds. Weber's time of 15:05.41 was good enough for eighth overall, earning a point for the team score.
Shortly thereafter, the women's 4x800 relay team obliterated the previous record by over 11 seconds. The quartet of senior Halley Brown, senior Madison Yerke, sophomore Margaret Coogan and sophomore Brittany Wilkinson finished eighth in the competition in a time of 9:24.73 to earn a team point.
Other highlights included sophomore Olivia Horgan cutting 16 seconds off her PR in the 3000m with a time of 10:39.56. The women's distance medley relay team of Brown, Yerke, Coogan and Wilkinson also picked up a point for the team, finishing eighth in a time of 12:08.64.
On the men's side, first-year Isaiah Robyne set a PR in the mile at 4:28.91. Senior Connor James established a new personal best in the 5000m with a time of 15:24.65.
