Women’s Tennis Edges Navy, 4-3

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The George Washington women's tennis team returned to action in fine fashion on Saturday afternoon, edging Navy, 4-3, to earn its third straight victory. With the win, the Colonials improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Buff and Blue took the early doubles point, with the pairs of Maria Siopacha and Melis Bayraktaroglu along with Sara Grubac and Katarina Marinkovikj winning their matches at the top two spots. The doubles point proved to be the difference maker, as both squads notched three victories in singles play.
