Senior competed on national stage for second time in her career
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Senior Suzanne Dannheim found herself at a national level competition for the second time in as many seasons, carrying the flag for the Buff & Blue on the biggest stage, after representing GW in the outdoor track championships in the steeplechase last spring.
Competing among the nation's best, and dealing with a rainy, 35-degree morning, Dannheim finished in a time of 22:07.4, finishing 205th overall in the 6K race. Nevertheless, she was one of two competitors from the Atlantic 10 and the first GW harrier to compete at the NCAA cross country championship meet since 2010.
The Jacksonville, Fla., native closes her cross country career currently owning two of the top six 5K times in the history of the program, and four of the top eight 6K times, three of which came this year.
