Colonials hold a 4-2-1 record on the season
WASHINGTON – The George Washington women's soccer squad is ranked No. 8 in the fourth United Soccer Coaches' Week East Regional Poll.
The Colonials boast a 4-2-1 record with its only losses coming against nationally ranked opponents: No. 11 Georgetown and No. 13 NC State.
GW opened its season on a four-match win streak, posting victories against Pacific (1-0), Liberty (2-1), Delaware (2-0), and Stetson (4-1).
The Colonials are one of four Atlantic-10 teams featured in this weeks' East Region top-10. La Salle ranks fourth with a 4-1-1 mark on the season, Saint Joseph's sits one place below GW in ninth (4-1-2), and Dayton clocks in at No. 10 (4-2-1).
The Buff and Blue will be back at home on Sunday at 3 p.m. to host James Madison for Kickin' it at the Vern at the GW Soccer Field.
