STILLWATER, Okla. -- Logan Lowe has been named to the NCAA Division I PING All-Region Team for the second consecutive season, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Lowe, who is also the 2018 Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Year, becomes the first player in program history to earn the distinction twice. Lowe completed a stellar junior season for the Colonials in which he won two tournaments in seven regular season stroke-play events while adding two more top-10s. He finished the regular season with a school record 71.71 scoring average and finished at or below par in 13 of his 24 rounds.
His wins came at the Camden Collegiate Invitational in October, when he shot a final round 68 to overcome a three-shot deficit, and at the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay in April. In that tournament, he forced a playoff with a birdie on his 54th and final hole, then captured medalist honors by winning the first playoff hole.
Lowe heads into his senior season with a career scoring average of 72.56, which stands as the lowest in school history ahead of Jay Randolph's 72.86 average.
