Gymnastics Unveils 2018 Award Winners

The Colonials reminisced on their successful 2018 season, in which they returned to the national stage for the fourth consecutive year, and 14th time in program history, to compete at the NCAA Raleigh Regional on April 7. Along with their regionals appearance, the Buff and Blue hit new milestones, broke program records and boasted top ranks in both the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) and NCAA.
GW also saw senior co-captain Cami Drouin-Allaire return to the NCAA Championship for the program-record third time in her career. The Shoreham, New York, native went on to cap her career as the most decorated gymnast in program history, garnering EAGL Gymnast and Senior of the Year and Regular Season Second Team All-American on vault honors in her final season in the Buff and Blue.
Senior Liz Pfeiler took home the top honor of the evening, the Lindsey Ferris Award. The recognition is annually presented to the gymnast who best exemplifies the team spirit and leadership qualities of the late gymnastics alumna. Pfeiler will be formally recognized at next season's Lindsey Ferris Invitational.
Pfeiler was also honored as the Top Performer on Balance Beam, in addition to earning the Starter Award for Uneven Bars with classmate Alex Zois.
