THREE-PEAT: Drouin-Allaire returns to the national stage for the GW program-record third time in her career after completing an outstanding senior season. In addition to being named EAGL Gymnast and Senior of the Year, the biology major was recognized as an American Athletic, Inc. (AAI) Award finalist, an award that is given to the most outstanding senior female gymnast in the country. The co-captain was also named EAGL Gymnast of the Week a program-record four times this season and competes in all four events with career-highs of 9.900+ on each one. In addition, after boasting a regular-season 9.910 RQS on vault, she was recognized as a 2018 Regular Season All-American.
Drouin-Allaire also competed at the NCAA Gymnastics Championship in 2015 and 2017. As a freshman, she placed 10th in the all-around with a 39.20, including scores of 9.85 on vault, 9.75 on uneven bars, 9.75 on balance beam, and 9.85 on floor exercise. As a junior last season, she became the first gymnast in program history to make a repeat trip to the NCAA Championship as an individual qualifier. In that appearance, she placed 13th in the all-around (39.025), with scores of 9.80 on vault (T-26th), 9.7375 on uneven bars (38th), 9.6375 on balance beam (T-34th), and 9.85 on floor exercise (T-23rd).
CAMI'S COMMENTS: "I have the experience of going to Nationals twice already," said Drouin-Allaire. "As a freshman I had no idea what to expect and didn't even know I qualified for Nationals at first. It was all new and exciting. Now, I have that confidence from the past three years. I've matured, I've grown, and I think going in I won't be as timid because I know what I'm doing. I've been there before and I'm ready for it. I'm just going to have fun and enjoy it. This is the last competition of my career so I just want to do my best, hit all of my routines, and definitely have fun."
