Golf Closes Regular Season at Navy Spring Invitational

TEEING OFF: GW golf closes its regular season this weekend with the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Maryland, where the Colonials will play single rounds of 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday. GW had been scheduled to play in the Greenbrier Invitational earlier this week, but the tournament was canceled due to weather.
COURSE: The Naval Academy Golf Club was acquired by the Naval Academy around 1939, when it was redesigned by renowned architect William Flynn (Shinnecock Hills, Cherry Hills, Upper Cascades). The 18-hole course features 6,611 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par 71. The course rating is 71.7 and it has a slope rating of 128.
FIELD (Golfstat ranking): Canisius (283), Drexel (207), GW (181), Lehigh (219), Manhattan (277), Navy (224), St. Bonaventure (211), Saint Francis (271), St. Francis Brooklyn (290), Saint Joseph's (229), Shepherd (N/A) and Towson (218).
LINEUP: Christian Cichan, Clifford Thompson, Adrian Castagnola, Vince Palazzolo, Jack Porcelli, Stephen Brown (individual).
LIVE SCORING: There will not be live stats for the tournament.
UP NEXT: The Atlantic 10 Championship is slated for April 28-30 at Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. GW took fourth place as both Logan Lowe (T-8th) and Palazzolo (10th) recorded top-10 finishes.
