LEHIGH, Pa. -Junior Madison Yerke placed second overall with a personal-record time in the 6,000-meter Paul Short Invitational College Brown Race on Friday afternoon at Lehigh University.

Yerke's effort led the Colonials to a third-place showing out of 24 competing teams.

Notes

Yerke's performance was a new personal-record time of 21:15. It was 42 seconds faster than her previous best from 2015.
Five of GW's six competitors set new personal records for the 6,000-meter distance.
Junior Halley Brown joined Yerke in the top ten on Friday, finishing in sixth place in 21:35 for a new PR. Her previous best was 22:18.
Junior Suzanne Dannheim (23rd, 22:17) and Lesley Fatica (31st, 22:22) also set new personal records while senior Lauren t'Kint de Roodenbeke (59th, 22:56) and freshman Margaret Coogan (83rd, 23:19) rounded out GW's scoring.
