Women's Basketball Releases Atlantic 10 Schedule

WASHINGTON - The GW women's basketball team will appear on national television four times, including a trio of games emanating from the Charles E. Smith Center, as part of its 16-game Atlantic 10 schedule, the league office announced on Thursday afternoon.

GW, coming off a share of last season's Atlantic 10 regular season title, will clash with co-champion and reigning A-10 Tournament champion Dayton in two nationally-televised contests.

The teams will rekindle the heated rivalry in Ohio on Sunday, Jan. 21 on CBS Sports Network, followed by the rematch at the Smith Center on Sunday, Feb. 11 on ESPNU.

The Colonials will also play to a national audience on CBS Sports Network in home games against George Mason (Saturday, Jan. 7) and Duquesne (Saturday, Jan. 13).

GW opens its conference schedule at Fordham on New Years Eve while also making road visits to VCU, Davidson, St. Bonaventure, George Mason, Saint Louis and Saint Joseph's throughout the season.

Additional home games will be against Rhode Island, Saint Louis, La Salle, Massachusetts and Richmond.

Remaining game times and promotional details for home contests will be announced at a later date.

	at Fordham	Sun., Dec. 31	Bronx, N.Y.	Last year's 63-46 win over the Rams served as the first win in a regular-season ending seven-game win streak for the Colonials.

	at VCU	Wed., Jan. 3	Richmond, Va.	GW rolled past VCU, 81-67, in last season's A-10 opener at the Smith Center.

	George Mason	Sun., Jan. 7	Smith Center (CBSSN)	The Colonials won both meetings last year, which included an overtime thriller on the road and a dominant, 80-49, blowout on Senior Day at the Smith Center.

	Duquesne	Sat., Jan. 13	Smith Center (CBSSN)	GW will be searching for revenge after losing two-of-three games against the Dukes last season, including a loss in the Atlantic 10 Championship Quarterfinals.

	at Davidson	Weds., Jan. 17	Davidson, N.C.	GW leads the all-time series against Davidson, 3-0, after last season's 76-62 win at the Smith Center.

	at Dayton	Sun., Jan. 21	Dayton, Ohio (CBSSN)	Each team picked up a home win in last year's season series. The Colonials look to avenge the road portion of the home-and-home after being edged, 50-48, at UD Arena.

	Rhode Island	Weds., Jan. 24	Smith Center	Kelli Prange poured in a team-high 16 points as the Colonials routed the Rams, 72-44, in Kingston last season.

	Saint Louis	Sat., Jan. 27	Smith Center	The lead changed hand 14 times in last season's matchup, which saw Saint Louis come out on top, 67-59, at Chaifetz Arena.

	La Salle	Thurs., Feb. 1	Smith Center	GW picked up a key road win in last season's meeting, downing the Explorers, 79-65.

	at St. Bonaventure	Sun., Feb. 4	Olean, N.Y.	GW won last year's meeting at the Smith Center to improve its all-time record against the Bonnies to 35-7.

	at George Mason	Weds., Feb. 7	Fairfax, Va.	Leg two of the #RevolutionaryRivalry takes place in a midweek matchup at Patriot Center.

	Dayton	Sun., Feb. 11	Smith Center (ESPNU)	The return game between the Colonials and Flyers takes place at the Smith Center, where the Colonials' defense led the way to a 52-39 win last season.

	Massachusetts	Weds., Feb. 14	Smith Center	GW emerged from a double-overtime thriller with a 60-54 win over UMass last season for its fifth consecutive win over the Minutewomen.

	at Saint Louis	Sat., Feb. 17	Saint Louis, Mo.	GW visits Saint Louis in the second game of a home-and-home at Chaifetz Arena.

	at Saint Joseph's	Tues., Feb. 20	Philadelphia, Pa.	Hannah Schaible notched her 1,000th point in last year's home victory over the Hawks.

	Richmond	Sat., Feb. 24	Smith Center	GW clinched a share of its third straight A-10 regular season title with a dominant 63-44 win at Richmond last season.
