
Women's Tennis Falls at Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. - The George Washington women's tennis team fell at Atlantic 10 foe Richmond on Saturday afternoon, 4-2.
The Colonials (8-8) won two singles matches but were unable to overcome an early deficit to the Spiders.
After taking the doubles point, Richmond increased its lead to 2-0 with a win at No. 2 singles. The Colonials came within one when senior Taylor Nederlander triumphed over her fifth-flight foe in straight sets.
The Spiders took a 3-1 lead after winning the top match, but the Colonials answered as junior Kamilla Beisenova took a victory at No. 6 in two sets to put the score at 3-2.
Richmond went on to clinch the match on court three.
The Colonials return home to face defending A-10 champion VCU on Sunday at the GW Tennis Center for a 12 p.m. match.
