Track Ready for A-10 Indoor Championship

LEADING OFF: George Washington's men's and women's indoor track teams will compete in their third-ever Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship this weekend at the George Mason Field House in Fairfax, Virginia.
RECORD-SETTING WINTER: Now in its third full season as a year-round running program, both the men's and women's teams continue to improve and shatter records.
This indoor season has seen a total of nine indoor records broken with six coming from the men's team (60m, 200m, 300m, 400m, mile, 4x400m) and three by the women's squad (1000m, 5000m, mile).
A-10 FORMAT: The two-day championship meet begins with Saturday's trials, where the top nine finishers from each event will advance to Sunday's finals. The top six finishers in each final will earn All-Conference recognition.
A trio of event finals will also be contested on Saturday in the women's 5,000-meter run (Miranda DiBiasio) and both the men's and women's Distance Medley Relay.
DiBasio set a new program record in the 5000m when she ran an impressive 17:04.23 at last week's Navy Multi-Mix Invitational.
