No. 14 Gymnastics Finishes Third at Mizzou Quad Meet

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 14 George Washington gymnastics team totaled 194.35 to finish in third place at Friday night's quad meet at the Hearnes Center.
No. 13 Missouri won the meet with a 195.725 while No. 25 Iowa State placed second with 195.35. The Colonials (12-2) finished ahead of Lindenwood (194.10).
The Colonials put forth team scores of 48.275 on vault, 48.30 on uneven bars, 48.90 on balance beam and 48.875 on floor exercise.
GW's best event of the evening was balance beam as six gymnasts placed in the top-10. Juniors Jillian Winstanley and Liz Pfeiler each tied for third place with a 9.825 while the trio of juniors Cami Drouin-Allaire, Alex Zois and senior Alex DeMoura all tied for 10th with a 9.75.'
DeMoura and junior Madeline Seibold both tied for seventh on floor exercise with a 9.80 while senior Chelsea Raineri placed 11th with a 9.775.
Winstanley finished fourth in the all-around with a score of 38.95, bolstered by performances of 9.80 on vault (8th), 9.60 on uneven bars (T-17th) and 9.725 on floor exercise (T-16th).
Drouin-Allaire finished fifth in the all-around (38.90) with scores of 9.725 on vault (T-11th), 9.65 on uneven bars (T-13th) and 9.775 on floor exercise (T-11th) in addition to her performance on beam.
GW returns home to Smith Center to host its annual Pink Meet on Friday night. The Colonials will welcome EAGL rival Pittsburgh along with the Big Ten's Maryland and Iowa. William & Mary will round out the five-team field.
