Nachtwey Honored by A-10 Again

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Peter Nachtwey of George Washington men's swimming and diving has garnered Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for the second time.
Nachtwey was recognized Tuesday for his record-setting diving performance in Saturday's 185-115 win over Boston College. The freshman from Ohio established a new GW record on the 3-meter board in his Charles E. Smith debut, posting a score of 362.62 to win the event. He also placed second in the 1-meter competition behind teammate Jake Ortiz with a score of 323.02.
It's the second time in three weeks to start the season Nachtwey has claimed the award. He was previously honored for his performance at the FIU Fall Classic on Oct. 6 and 7. Teammate Youssef Ragab was the other A-10 Rookie of the Week winner.
The Colonials have this weekend off before returning to action Nov. 4, hosting A-10 foe Davidson at 10 a.m.
