Men's Soccer Hosts Duquesne on Senior Day

Senior Day festivities recognizing Alex Conning, Oliver Curry, Christian Lawal, Ben Ogedegbe and Koby Osei-Wusu will begin approximately 15 minutes before the 2 p.m. kickoff.
The Colonials (7-6-2, 4-2 A-10) have won four of five games, entering their home regular season finale. They currently have 12 points in Atlantic 10 play, one back of conference leader Massachusetts.
LAST TIME OUT: GW scored twice in the opening 20 minutes Wednesday on the way to a 2-0 home win over Davidson. Dylan Lightbourn's goal 46 seconds in proved to be the game winner. Koby Osei-Wusu also scored for the Colonials, while Thor Arne Höfs recorded his sixth clean sheet of the season.
IN FOCUS: GW has won four straight games at GW Soccer Field since opening its home slate with a loss to William & Mary and a tie with UMBC. Höfs has posted shutouts in all four victories, helping the Colonials outscore their competition by a total of 6-0. The keeper hasn't given up a goal at home since UMBC scored in the 56th minute on Sept. 16, good for a shutout streak spanning 395 total minutes.
FUN FACT: This senior class has combined to play 15,605 minutes in 257 total games at GW. Conning, Curry, Lawal, Ogedegbe and Osei-Wusu have accounted for a total of 19 goals and 24 assists as Colonials.
SCOUTING DUQUESNE: The Dukes (3-10-1, 1-4) have lost four straight A-10 games since starting conference play with a win over La Salle. The latest defeat came Wednesday when St. Bonaventure scored in the 102nd minute for a 1-0 victory.
Duquesne has scored 15 goals in its 14 games. Zach Hall, Jallah Acqui and Jason Twum are tied for the team lead with three goals apiece.
COMING UP: GW closes the regular season on Oct. 28 at St. Joseph's. It's a 7 p.m. kickoff at Sweeney Field in Philadelphia.
