WASHINGTON - George Washington gymnastics senior Chelsea Raineri has been named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week after helping the Colonials to a victory at the season-opening Little Boston Invitational last weekend.]

The award marks the fourth time that Raineri has been named an EAGL Specialist of the Week and her seventh overall weekly award from the conference in her career.

The Telford, Pennsylvania, native made a trio of podium appearances to help the Colonials to a dual-meet victory over Yale on Saturday night in Boston, Massachusetts. Raineri won the uneven bars title with a 9.80 and placed second overall on vault with a 9.85.

She rounded out her evening by tying for second place on floor exercise with a 9.85.

GW will open the home portion of its schedule by hosting the 10th Annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational on Saturday at 1 p.m. against North Carolina, Yale and Penn.
