GW Women's Basketball Announces A-10 Conference Schedule

WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's basketball team will appear on national television five times as part of its 16-game Atlantic 10 Conference schedule, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Three of GW's five nationally-televised Atlantic 10 games will take place at the Charles E. Smith Center. GW will host Davidson on January 15 on CBSSN ahead of meetings with Fordham (Feb. 1, NBCSN) and Dayton (Feb. 12, ESPNU).
GW will also host VCU (Dec. 2), Saint Joseph's (Jan. 4), Duquesne (Jan. 29, ASN), St. Bonaventure (Feb. 15) and George Mason (Feb. 18) at the Smith Center, where the program boasts a 41-6 record (.872) over the past three seasons.
The Colonials will also appear on national television on New Years Day in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, against Duquesne (CBSSN) and at Dayton on January 8 (CBSSN).
Other road conference games for GW include visits to George Mason (Jan. 11), Massachusetts (Jan. 21), Saint Louis (Jan 26), La Salle (Feb. 4), Rhode Island (Feb. 8) and Richmond (Feb. 22).
GW's conference schedule includes a quintet of postseason teams from last season. St. Bonaventure and Duquesne each made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament while Saint Louis (WNIT Third Round), VCU (WNIT First Round) and Dayton (WNIT First Round) all competed in the WNIT.
GW previously announced its non-conference schedule which includes eight postseason teams from 2016, including dates with NCAA National Championship runner up Syracuse and a home game against NCAA Elite 8 participant Stanford.
Game times and additional television games will be announced at a later date.
