
GW Women's Tennis Falls at James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. - The George Washington women's tennis team dropped its weekend finale at James Madison, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Hillside Tennis Courts.
GW's duo of sophomore Teodora Radosavljevic and senior Egle Jakuciunaite began the day with a 6-2 win at the No. 3 doubles spot. JMU quickly evened the slate with a 6-2 victory in second-flight action before the Colonials' pair of juniors Allison Hansen and Taylor Nederlander clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 triumph at the top spot.
The Colonials (5-8) took a 2-0 lead after Radosavljevic won her third consecutive solo bout with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 position.
JMU (12-4) got on the board with a straight-set win at No. 4 and evened the score at 2-2 after taking the third-flight contest. The Dukes went on to clinch the match after victories at the Nos. 6 and 2 positions.
Hansen battled hard in the fifth-flight match, but ultimately fell, 7-5, 7-5, to close the day as JMU took a 5-2 win.
The Colonials return to action next Saturday to take on No. 61 Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia.
