
GW Women's Tennis Drops Weekend Finale

STOCKTON, Calif. - The George Washington women's tennis team fell at Pacific on Saturday, 4-0, to wrap a spring break road trip to California.
The Tigers (6-6) took an early lead, winning the doubles point after taking the top two spots.
In the singles competition, Pacific increased its lead with victories at the Nos. 1-2 positions. The Tigers clinched the match after taking the sixth-flight match.
Junior Allison Hansen had won her first set, 6-4, at No. 5 and was in a close 4-5 battle in the second set when the match was abandoned. Freshman Victoria Kogan was gearing up for a comeback in her fourth-flight contest before her match stopped unfinished - she had a 6-5 lead in the second set after yielding the first.
Junior Taylor Nederlander was also locked in a close bout, leaving her match unfinished, 3-6, 4-3, in third-flight play.
The Colonials (3-7) return home from their spring break California swing to host Navy on Tuesday in GW's home outdoor opener.
