- GW and Dayton met for the 10th time in the last four seasons on Sunday, and the Colonials picked up their fifth straight win over the Flyers. After sweeping three contests against Dayton last season, GW has now won both regular-season matchups in 2016. The Colonials improve to 30-8 all-time against the Flyers, including 14-2 at the Smith Center.
- GW is the only team with at least one win over Dayton in each of the last three seasons.
- GW has won 16 of its last 17 games since Dec. 6 while snapping Dayton's five-game win streak.
- It was another come-from-behind win for the Colonials over the Flyers. GW trailed by seven in the first quarter before a 14-4 run to end the period gave the hosts the lead for good. In January at UD Arena, the Colonials trailed the Flyers by as many as 15 points before a 16-1 third-quarter run tied the game. GW also rallied from an 11-point deficit in the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship game to win the title.
- Three Colonials scored in double figures - sophomore Kelli Prange (16 points), grad student Lauren Chase (15 points) and sophomore Brianna Cummings (13 points).
- GW's bench outscored Dayton's reserves, 25-2. In addition to Cummings' 13 points, senior Dalacy Anderson scored seven and freshman Mei-Lyn Bautista had six.
- The Colonials made 13 straight free throws to start the game and finished 16-of-20 (80 percent) behind perfect games from Chase (5-for-5) and junior Hannah Schaible (4-for-4).
- GW capitalized on 20 Dayton miscues for a 23-7 advantage in points off turnovers.
