
GW Women's Tennis Closes Regional Play on Sunday

NORFOLK, Va. - The George Washington women's tennis team wrapped play at the ITA Atlantic Region Championships on Sunday afternoon at Old Dominion's Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
Freshman Melis Bayraktaroglu wrapped her weekend with a victory over Jamie Breunig of Longwood, 6-2, 6-1, in singles consolation play.
Junior Marie-Louise Decamps battled in her consolation match but ultimately fell, 7-5, 6-2, to Virginia's Camille Farero. Sophomore Maria Siopacha dropped her consolation match to VCU's Magda Aubets in straight sets.
The Colonials close fall play at the three-day Hokie Invitational in Blacksburg, Virginia, beginning on Oct. 28.
