- For the second time this season, five Colonials finished with double-digit points on Wednesday night - junior Hannah Schaible (14), senior Jonquel Jones (13), grad student Lauren Chase (10), senior Dalacy Anderson (10) and junior Caira Washington (10). GW also had five players in double figures on Nov. 27 against Iowa at the Lone Star Showcase.
- Wednesday's triumph marked GW's ninth consecutive victory, a streak that dates back to Dec. 6 and is tied for the 10th-longest active run in Division I. The Colonials have also defeated their last 12 Atlantic 10 opponents.
- The Colonials have now won 33-of-38 all-time meetings against La Salle, including 15-of-17 at the Charles E. Smith Center.
- A dominant inside effort by GW led to a 44-18 advantage on points in the paint.
- The Buff and Blue forced 19 La Salle turnovers and made them count, taking them to the other end for 20 points on Wednesday.
- The nation's leading rebounder (15.2 rpg), Jones posted her NCAA-best 14th double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
- GW won the battle of the boards for the 17th time this season with a 53-39 advantage and got contributions on the glass from 13 players. The Colonials lead the nation with 52.1 rebounds per game - the only team in Division I averaging more than 50 boards per contest - and sit in second with a +17.9 rebounding margin.
- The Colonials' bench contributed 36 points on the night, compared to La Salle's 17. GW's efforts were led by Anderson's 10 points in 12 minutes of play on 5-for-7 shooting, and freshman Mei-Lyn Bautista's nine points on 3-of-3 from deep.
- GW tallied a season-high 24 assists on Wednesday, led by Chase's game-high eight helpers and Bautista's five assists against zero turnovers.
- GW's defense has not allowed more than 61 points since Dec. 20 against Iona. In the six games since that contest, the Colonials have held opponents to 54.2 points per game on 31.8 percent from the field and 19.6 percent from long distance. GW leads the A-10 in both field goal percentage defense (.306) and 3-point percentage defense (.181) in conference games.
- Jones surpassed Kas Allen ('88) for third place on GW's all-time rebounding list with 884 boards as a Colonial.
