GW Gymnastics Places 11 on NACGCW Scholastic All-America Team

WASHINGTON - A record 11 George Washington gymnastics student-athletes earned 2015 Scholastic All-America honors from the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches for Women (NACGCW), the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Colonials rank third in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) and 35th in the nation with a team grade-point average of 3.39. GW also ranks 14th in the nation with 64 percent of the roster earning All-America honors.
Individuals must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to earn Scholastic All-America honors.
Recent alumnae Brenna Marcoux (3.84, Civil Engineering), Courtney Willoughby (3.86, Sport, Event & Hospitality Management), Elena Corcoran (3.76, Political Science) and Kaija Aploks (3.79, International Business) were joined by rising senior Taylor Redmond (3.65, Geological Studies), rising juniors Kaila Solomon (3.76, Political Science) and Kaitlin Cowles (3.80, Chemistry) and rising sophomores Cami Drouin-Allaire (3.80, Pre-Arts & Sciences), Elizabeth Pfeiler (3.59, Pre-Arts & Sciences), Jillian Winstanley (3.74, Business Administration) and Sara Mermelstein (3.77, Pre-Arts & Sciences) on the All-America team.
All 11 honorees were also named to the EAGL All-Scholastic Team in March.
